Ryan May, LMHC
Ryan May, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I am a master's level therapist licensed in the State of Hawaii as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I have been in ministry and the mental/behavioral health field for many years. I was licensed as a pastor in 1997 and ordained in 2001. In addition, I began my career in mental/behavioral health fields in 1999 and I have served over 17 years in the fields. I have held many positions within both the church and the mental/behavioral health fields including senior pastor, youth pastor, church planter, counseling pastor, group counselor, marriage and family therapist, individual therapist, and behavioral health supervisor. I have served on various non-profit boards, I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and an active member at Hope Chapel in Kihei where I provide Christian Counseling services.

I received my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Biblical Studies from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS in 2002. In addition, I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Professional Christian Counseling from Liberty University in 2010.

I have been happily married for over 17 years to my beautiful Brazilian wife Caroline and I have three handsome boys, Gavin, Dillon, and Tristan. My family and I moved to the Valley Isle in the fall of 2010 and have now lived here for over 6 years. Never having visited Maui before, we took a step of faith and moved with 9 suite cases, a minivan, and a distinct call of God to love the people of Maui. I serve my community of Maui through affordable Christian counseling and a distinct desire to walk with you on the road to healing and freedom!
